How credits work

Credits pay for results. One pool per workspace, nothing found costs nothing.

Updated

Credits are the currency inside Preb. Your workspace has one balance that every teammate uses. Credits come from your plan, or from the free trial, and are spent on results.

What a result costs

Before, during and after a list

  • Before: the Configure step shows a typical estimate and a maximum. A list can start when your balance covers the typical estimate.
  • During: the typical amount is reserved so that two lists cannot spend the same credits twice. Rows are charged as results arrive.
  • After: the reservation is released and the list shows exactly what it used, in the pill next to its status and under Settings, Billing, Credit history.

Where to see your balance

  • The credits menu in the top bar shows Available credits and the next expiry date.
  • Settings, Billing, Credit balance lists every batch of credits with its expiry date.
  • Credit history lists every grant and every charge per list.

Note

Credits with the earliest expiry date are always used first, so nothing expires while newer credits are still in the balance.
