The activation checklist

Sales

When you're new, Preb shows a short checklist that walks you from an empty workspace to taking real bookings. This page explains each step and what makes it tick over to done.

Where to find it

The checklist lives in two places:

  • On your Home screen, as a card titled Get started with Preb.
  • In the sidebar, as a Setup: NN% done link that jumps straight to the same card.

Each step shows a button that takes you straight to the right place, and ticks itself off as soon as you've done it — there's nothing to mark complete by hand.

What each step means

The first four steps are the essentials for going live:

Set up your workspace

Already done — creating your workspace during sign-up checks this off automatically.

Create your first event type

Define a bookable meeting — its length, location, and availability. Done once your workspace has at least one event type.

Capture your first lead

When someone fills in the first step of your booking form, they appear in your contacts — even if they don't pick a time. Done once you have your first contact.

Share your booking link

Send your link and receive your first booking. Done once your first booking comes in.

Optional steps

The checklist also suggests a few extras, each marked (optional). They're worth doing but aren't required to start taking bookings:

  • Connect a calendar — sync Google or Outlook so Preb blocks your busy times automatically. See Connect your calendar.
  • Connect ad tracking — send real conversions to Meta and Google so they optimize your ads on actual revenue, not just bookings. Only needed if you run paid ads.
  • Connect Stripe — automatically attach Stripe charges to deals so revenue shows up in your dashboard without manual work. Only needed if you take payments through Stripe.

Don't run ads or take Stripe payments?

You can safely ignore the ad-tracking and Stripe steps — they're only useful if those tools are part of how you work.

Hiding the checklist

There's no dismiss button, and you don't need one: the card disappears on its own once you've finished the two essentials — creating an event type and receiving your first booking. The optional steps don't keep it around. Until both are done, it stays put as a helpful nudge.
