Kanban boards

Sales

The Pipelines tab of Global Data shows your contacts as Kanban boards — one column per stage, one card per contact. If the tables are your pipeline as a spreadsheet, boards are the same pipeline as a wall of cards you physically move.

Every workspace starts with a Contact Stage board, created for you on first visit.

Two kinds of boards

A board groups contacts by one of two things:

  • Contact Stage — your manual pipeline. These boards are interactive: drag a card to a new column and the contact's stage changes, exactly as if you'd used the stage dropdown. Columns run in your funnel order — Active stages, then Won, then Lost — plus a No stage column for the unassigned.
  • Scheduling status — the automatic funnel (Potential, Qualified, Disqualified, booked). These boards are view-only: the status is set by what leads actually do, so there's nothing to drag. Use them to watch the funnel, not to work it.

Any member can drag cards on a stage board — it's the same permission as changing a stage anywhere else.

Reading the board

  • Each column shows its count, and loads 25 cards at a time — Load more at the bottom of a column pulls the next batch.
  • Click a card to open the contact card.
  • Collapse columns you don't need right now — a collapsed column shrinks to a labelled bar with its count, and stays collapsed for you on that board.

Choosing what cards show

Open the board's card fields picker to choose which details appear on every card — revenue, setter, a custom field, up to 8 fields. The picker draws from the same field list as the table columns, custom fields included.

Creating and managing boards

Use the board switcher at the top of the Pipelines tab to jump between boards or create a new one.

  • Create — admins and owners only. Pick a name, what it groups by (Contact Stage or Scheduling status), and its visibility.
  • Visibility — a Collaboration board is shared with the whole workspace; a Private board is visible only to you.
  • Rename, change visibility, or delete — available to the board's creator and to admins, from the board's menu.

Deleting a board only deletes the board — your contacts and stages are untouched.

Boards and views complement each other

Boards answer "where is everyone?"; Smart Views answer "show me exactly these people". A common setup: a Collaboration stage board for the team's daily standup, plus private views for each rep's follow-up list.
