Zoho Calendar
Sales NewConnect Zoho Calendar and Preb keeps it in sync both ways: it reads your existing events so nobody can book over you, and it writes every new booking straight to your Zoho calendar with the guest invited. It works exactly like our Google and Microsoft Outlook connections — alongside them, or on its own.
Connecting is per person: each host connects their own Zoho account once, from their own settings. You only ever manage your own calendar, and connecting doesn't affect anyone else on your team.
Adding the app
Prerequisites
- A Zoho account you can sign in to, on any Zoho region (
.com,.eu,.in,.com.au, and the rest — Preb detects your region automatically). - A Preb account with access to a workspace. Any team member can connect their own Zoho — you don't need to be a workspace admin.
Connect your Zoho account
Open Calendars
Click your profile menu in the sidebar footer and choose Calendars. (Admins can also reach it from Integrations → Zoho Calendar in the Integration Hub.)
Start the connection
Click Connect Zoho Calendar.
Sign in and approve
Zoho asks you to sign in and approve access so Preb can read your busy times and add events. Approve, and you're brought back to Preb showing Zoho Calendar connected successfully.
When you first connect, Preb automatically switches on your primary Zoho calendar for conflict checking and — if you don't already have one — sets it as the calendar new bookings are added to. You can change both any time (see Choosing which calendars to use).
Connect more than one calendar
You can connect Zoho alongside Google and Outlook — Preb checks all of them for conflicts. New bookings are still written to the single calendar you choose as the booking destination.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| Authorization didn't finish — you approved in Zoho but Preb doesn't show it connected | Make sure pop-ups aren't blocked, then try Connect Zoho Calendar again from Calendars. If you were switching Zoho accounts, sign out of Zoho in that browser first so you approve with the right account. |
| "Reconnect needed" appears on your Zoho account | Your Zoho authorization expired or was revoked. Open Calendars and click Reconnect on the Zoho account, then approve again — future bookings are fixed automatically. |
| Slots that should be free are hidden | If Preb can't read a connected calendar, it plays it safe and treats that time as busy. Check that the Zoho account doesn't show Reconnect needed, then reconnect if it does. |
Still stuck? See our contact & support guide and we'll help you sort it out.
Using the app
Once Zoho Calendar is connected, these features work automatically.
Blocks your busy times
- Use case: Preb reads the events on the Zoho calendars you've switched on for conflict checking and hides any booking slot that would overlap one — so nobody can book over a meeting you already have.
- Prerequisites: At least one Zoho calendar is switched on under Check for conflicts.
Adds bookings to your calendar
- Use case: When a booking is confirmed, Preb writes it to your chosen Zoho calendar and invites the guest, so it's on your calendar without any manual entry.
- Prerequisites: Your Zoho calendar is selected as the booking destination under Add events to.
Keeps reschedules and cancellations in sync
- Use case: When a booking is rescheduled the Zoho event moves to the new time; when it's cancelled the Zoho event is removed. Nothing is left stale on your calendar.
- Prerequisites: The booking was created while your Zoho calendar was the destination.
Meeting links work even when Zoho is your calendar
- Use case: You can run an event type on Google Meet or Microsoft Teams while your bookings land in your Zoho calendar. Preb generates the meeting link from your connected Google or Microsoft account and drops it into the Zoho event, so the join link is right there on the booking.
- Prerequisites: A connected account of the meeting provider (Google for Meet, Microsoft for Teams). Prefer Zoho's own video? See Zoho Meeting.
Choosing which calendars to use
The Calendars page shows two settings you can change any time — each saves the moment you touch it:
- Add events to — pick the single calendar where new bookings are created. The dropdown lists every calendar across all your connected accounts (Zoho, Google, Outlook), plus a Don't add bookings to a calendar option. The calendar that receives bookings is marked Booking destination.
- Check for conflicts — switch on the Zoho calendars Preb should read when deciding which slots are free. Preb hides any slot that overlaps an event on them.
Removing the app
Connecting and disconnecting Zoho is per person — you only ever manage your own account.
From Preb
Go to Calendars, and on your Zoho account click Disconnect. This removes Preb's access and deletes the connection.
From your Zoho account
You can also revoke access directly in Zoho: go to accounts.zoho.com → Security → Connected Apps, find Preb, and remove it. Preb notices the revoked access on the next sync and shows Reconnect needed on the Calendars page.
What removing the app does
- Preb stops reading your Zoho calendar for conflicts and stops writing new bookings to it. If it was your booking destination, Preb falls back to another connected calendar (or to not writing events, if you have no others).
- Events that were already created for upcoming bookings stay on your Zoho calendar — disconnecting doesn't delete them.
How we remove your data
When you disconnect Zoho in Preb, we delete the data stored for your Zoho connection — the encrypted access and refresh tokens and your Zoho account email — along with the record of which Zoho calendars you'd selected. We don't store your Zoho events or their contents; the only Zoho data Preb keeps is the connection needed to read your busy times and add bookings on your behalf, and that is removed as part of disconnecting.
