Slack notifications
SalesMarketingConnect your Slack workspace and Preb will post a message the second something happens in your funnel — a new lead, a booked call, a cancellation, a closed sale. Your setters and closers see it in the channel they already live in and can follow up in minutes instead of hours.
Why speed matters
The faster you follow up, the more leads you reach. Getting a lead into a channel the moment it lands is the whole point — pick a channel your team actually watches, and pair it with a simple follow-up rhythm (a call within the first few minutes, then a short sequence over the next few days).
What you can be notified about
You choose which events to send and which channel each one goes to. You can send
everything to one channel, or split leads and calls across two — for example a
#leads channel for your setters and a #calls channel for your closers.

Each message shows the contact's name and email, a Contact card link that opens the contact directly in Preb, and the trigger. Call events also include the date, time, event type, and host so whoever picks it up has everything they need.
Connecting Slack
You connect Slack from the Integration Hub. Only workspace admins can do this.
Open the Slack integration
Go to Integrations → Slack and click Connect with Slack.
Approve access in Slack
Slack asks you to pick the workspace to install Preb into and approve it. Click Allow. You're returned to Preb with Slack connected.
Turn on the events you want
Tick each event you'd like to be notified about and choose a channel for it from the dropdown. The list shows your workspace's public channels.
Save
Click Save changes. Your event-to-channel mapping is stored.
Send a test
Click Test integration to post a sample of every enabled event to its channel, so you can see exactly how the messages will look.
No need to add the app to each channel
Unlike some tools, Preb can post to any public channel the moment you pick it — you don't have to manually add the app to each channel first. Just select the channel and save.
Choosing channels
The dropdown lists your workspace's public channels. If you created a channel after connecting and don't see it yet, click Refresh channels to pull the latest list.
To post into a private channel, invite the Preb app to it from Slack first:
open the channel, type /invite @Preb, then it becomes selectable. (Public
channels never need this.)
Testing it
The Test integration button posts a sample message for every event you've enabled, to the channel you mapped it to. The samples use placeholder data but match the real format exactly, so it's the quickest way to confirm your channels are wired up correctly. Messages are paced a moment apart to stay within Slack's limits, so with several events they'll arrive over a few seconds.
If a channel was deleted or renamed, the test surfaces a per-channel error so you know which mapping to re-pick.
A note on Potential leads
A lead becomes a Potential contact the instant they type their email into your form — before they've finished. If Preb notified you on every one of those, your channel would fill up with leads who are seconds away from booking anyway.
So Potential works a little differently from the other events: Preb waits a short while and only sends the notification if the lead is still Potential — meaning they filled in their details but never continued. Leads who complete the form fire Qualified (or a booking event) instead, so each lead only ever generates one message. Every other event is sent immediately.
You choose how long to wait. When you enable Potential, a dropdown lets you pick the delay — 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes (the default is 5). A shorter wait means faster speed-to-lead on abandoners; a longer wait gives in-progress leads more time to finish before they're flagged as abandoned.
Delivery timing
Preb checks for abandoned leads every few minutes, so a notification arrives at your chosen delay plus up to one check cycle — for the 5-minute setting, roughly 5–10 minutes after the lead first appears.
Recent notifications
The Slack page shows a Recent notifications list — the latest messages Preb sent and whether Slack accepted them. If something shows as Failed, hover it for the reason (usually a channel that was deleted or archived — just re-pick it).
Reconnecting
If someone removes the Preb app from your Slack workspace, notifications stop and the Slack page shows a reconnect banner. Click Reconnect Slack to restore sending — your event-to-channel mapping is saved and comes back automatically, so you don't have to set it up again.
Disconnecting
Click Disconnect on the Slack page to stop all notifications and remove Preb's access to your Slack workspace. Your channel mapping is kept, so if you reconnect later everything is exactly as you left it.
Who can manage this
Connecting, disconnecting, and changing channels are admin-only actions. Regular members can't see or change the Slack settings.
