Appearance

SalesMarketing

The Appearance screen of the event-type editor controls how your booking widget looks and behaves. Every setting is per event type, so a polished sales demo and a quick intro call can each look and flow exactly the way that event needs.

Appearance has two sub-tabs: Theme (the look — colors, logo, branding) and Layout (the flow — step order and what shows on each step). A live preview on the right updates as you edit; use the Booking stage and Desktop / Mobile controls above it to check every step on both screen sizes. Changes save with the editor's Save button.

Workspace default & lock

You can set a company-wide default design so every event carries your brand automatically. In Workspace settings → Booking widget design, an admin sets the default theme, colors, and branding (with the same live preview). Any event that hasn't customized its own appearance uses this design — including new events your team creates and existing ones you haven't touched. Change the workspace design and every un-customized event updates with it.

Admins can also lock the design: turn on "Lock the widget design for all events" and individual events can no longer change theme, colors, logo, or branding — they all show the workspace design. On a locked event, the Appearance screen shows the design read-only with a note. Step order and Highlight first form field stay editable per event either way, since those are about the booking flow rather than the brand.

Theme

Light or dark

Pick a Light or Dark widget. Dark is the classic Preb look — a dark shell around white panels. Light flips the shell to a soft neutral. Text colors adjust automatically so everything stays readable.

Upload a logo to show in the widget header for this event, in place of your workspace logo. Recommended size is 640 × 240 px (PNG or JPG, up to 5 MB). Uploading saves right away; remove it anytime to fall back to your workspace logo.

Colors

  • Custom button color — override the booking button. Choose a solid color or a two-stop gradient. The button label color is chosen automatically for contrast.
  • Custom accent color — the highlight used for progress dots, focus rings, and links.
  • Advanced colors — fine-tune individual sections for full white-labeling: shell background, panel background, text, borders & inputs, progress dots, the selected date & time, and links. Each section you turn on gets its own color; everything else follows the theme. Text that sits on a color you choose is auto-adjusted to stay legible, so you can't accidentally create an unreadable widget.

Hide Preb branding

Turn off the "Powered by Preb" mark on this event's booking pages. (If your workspace has already hidden branding globally, it stays hidden regardless.)

Layout

Booking stage order

Every Preb booking page has two parts: the form (contact details and any questions you ask) and the calendar (pick a day and a time). Step order decides which comes first.

SettingWhat the invitee doesBest for
Form first (default)Fills out the form, then picks a timeQualifying and routing leads before they reach the calendar
Time firstPicks a time, then fills out the formReducing friction — let people lock in a slot first

With Form first, answers arrive before the calendar, so Preb can act on them: a disqualified visitor never reaches your calendar, and routing rules narrow the hosts before any slot is shown. With Time first, the calendar comes first and the form is a single final panel; the two step labels at the top swap to match.

Time first with qualification or routing rules

Disqualification and conditional routing rules act on form answers. With Time first those answers only arrive after a time is picked, so Preb applies the rules when the invitee submits the form: a disqualified invitee's picked time is released (it was never booked), and a routed invitee whose time isn't available with their matched host is asked to pick a new one. The Appearance screen shows a reminder whenever you select Time first on an event that has these rules. Keep Form first if you'd rather settle qualification and routing before the calendar is shown.

Qualification page

  • Highlight first form field — gently pulses the first field to invite visitors to start.
  • Show calendar with form — display the calendar next to the form on desktop, so invitees can pick a day while they fill in their details. (On phones the calendar appears on the next step to keep the page from getting too tall.)

Time selection page

  • Hide event details — hide the event details panel, showing only the calendar and time picker (the time-zone control stays).
  • Show host avatar(s) — display the host photos during booking.
  • Show urgency timer — show a soft countdown to encourage faster completion. It's a visual nudge only — no time is actually held. When it runs out, the invitee sees a gentle "this time may no longer be available" note and can refresh the available times. You choose the length (1–60 minutes).

What stays the same

Appearance changes only the look and the flow — never what you collect or how a booking works. Your questions, meeting locations, the note and guests fields, automatic time-zone detection, and your confirmation page or redirect all behave exactly the same. Lead capture keeps working in both step orders, too — Preb saves what an invitee types even if they never finish.
