A–Z glossary
| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| Account | Your personal login — name, username, photo, sign-in email, and connected calendars — shared across every workspace you belong to. |
| Active / Won / Lost | The three groups every contact stage rolls up into: still in play, closed successfully, or lost (including no-shows). |
| Activation checklist | The "Get started with Preb" setup list on your Home screen that ticks off the essentials and disappears once you're set up. |
| Additional guests | Extra attendees an invitee adds by email; they're added to the meeting but don't get reschedule or cancel links. |
| Admin | A trusted role that runs the workspace day to day but can't touch billing. |
| API key | A workspace credential (pk_… plus a secret shown once) used to authenticate to the public API. |
| Approved websites | The allow-list of domains your post-booking redirects are allowed to point to. |
| Approved / Rejected | The two outcomes of a Discovery (screening) call — passed or failed the screen. |
| Attribution | How Preb remembers where a lead came from and credits the campaign that brought them in. See Attribution & UTM tracking. |
| Average deal value | Total revenue ÷ number of sales, shown per currency. |
| Booking | A single scheduled meeting — one person, one event type, one time. |
| Booking form | The questions an invitee answers when booking, split into Primary (core details) and Secondary (your custom questions). |
| Booking link (slug) | Your workspace's short public web address, like app.preb.co/acme. |
| Booking rate | Bookings ÷ Leads. |
| Booking status | A booking's state: Confirmed, Pending, Cancelled, Rejected, or No-show. |
| Booking UID | A booking's unique ID (bk_…), used in redirect macros and to match Stripe payments. |
| Booking window | How far into the future people are allowed to book. |
| Breakdowns | Insights tables that split the funnel by campaign, event type, or host. See Breakdowns. |
| Buffer | Padding held free before and/or after a meeting so calls aren't back-to-back. |
| Built-in stages | The six default contact stages: New, Working, Nurture, Closed Won, Closed Lost, No Show. |
| Business-email-only | A form switch that blocks free/personal email providers like Gmail and Outlook. |
bookingSuccessful event | The embed event that fires on a completed booking, for your own site to listen to. |
| Calls Held | Funnel stage: bookings where the call took place and an outcome was recorded. |
| Call outcome | The result you record after a past call — it creates deals, advances stages, and reports revenue. See Call outcomes. |
| Call type | Whether an event is a Strategy (sales) or Discovery (screening) call — it decides which outcomes you can record. |
| Click IDs | Codes ad platforms add to a link automatically: fbclid (Meta), gclid (Google), ttclid (TikTok), li_fat_id (LinkedIn). |
| Close rate | Sales ÷ Calls Held. |
| Closer | The contact's automatic owner: the host of their latest active booking. Preb keeps it current — you don't set it by hand. On events that opt in, a returning lead books their next strategy call with this person — see Returning leads. |
| Co-host | An extra teammate added to join a call alongside the host; changing co-hosts doesn't re-email the guest. |
| Collective | A scheduling type where every selected host must attend, so a slot shows only when everyone is free. |
| Conditional routing | "If this, then assign to" rules that show a matching lead only certain hosts' availability. See Conditional routing. |
| Confirmation page | The default post-booking page showing what, when, who, where, plus add-to-calendar and reschedule/cancel links. |
| Connected calendar | A personal Google or Microsoft calendar (one at a time) that Preb reads for busy time and writes new bookings to. |
| Consent / cookie banner | The Termly-powered banner that lets visitors accept or decline marketing cookies. See Consent & cookie banner. |
| Container ID | Your Google Tag Manager container's identifier (GTM-XXXXXXX). |
| Contact | One person (unique by email per workspace), captured when they submit the booking form — even if they never book — or added by hand. Event types can opt into saving details as visitors type, with a visible notice on the form. |
| Contact stage | The pipeline step you manage yourself (e.g. Working, Won, Lost). |
| Contact timeline | The chronological history on a contact's card (the Journey tab) — funnel entry, bookings, deals, and notes. |
| Conversion action | A separate Google Ads action for each funnel step you report. |
| Conversion Routing (round-robin) | A scheduling type where one host takes each call, chosen by weighted, fair rotation; the only type that unlocks routing rules. |
| Conversions API (CAPI) | Meta's server-side tracking, which runs for everyone even when cookies are declined. See Meta Pixel & Conversions API. |
| Custom Link | A meeting-location type where you paste any meeting URL — this is how Preb supports Zoom. |

| Custom field | A field your team defines on contacts, calls, or deals — filterable, sortable, and editable like any built-in column. See Custom fields. |

| Customer ID | Your Google Ads account number (with an optional Manager/MCC parent ID). |

| Field types | The kinds of question you can add: short/long text, dropdown, radio, checkbox, phone, number, and currency amount. |
| First match wins | In a rule list, rules read top to bottom and only the first match fires — so order matters. |
| First-touch attribution | The first campaign that introduced a visitor keeps the credit, remembered for 30 days in their browser. |
| Form drop-off / Form Performance | A beta view showing, field by field, where people abandon the booking form. See Form drop-off. |

| HMAC signing | The authentication scheme for the public transactions endpoint. |

| No stage | An option that clears a contact's pipeline stage. |

| Owner | The top role, with full control including billing and seats. |
